Images of The Anchor in Woodbridge
Our 18th Century traditional quayside pub is situated in the picturesque town of Woodbridge in Suffolk.
We have been in this pub before but hadn't eaten there. It's been refurbished recently so we thought we'd try it. The food we had for lunch was excellent and we had a smoked fish sharing platter with a portion of triple cooked chips. Another person with us had the crayfish sandwich in rosé Marie sauce. There was plenty of everything and it was freshly prepared. It was all reasonably priced. We were made to feel welcome and would definitely eat there again.
A nice friendly pub which offer some really tasty food. Staff are helpful and efficient. You can eat inside or out both being great.
The Anchor is a real stalwart in Woodbridge. Great pub with a great pub menu that really punches. Had beer battered haddock and chips. The fish was fresh, firm and tasty and the batter was incredibly crisp. Perfect pub for great steaks - their rib eye is amazing, fish and curries. Desserts are delicious too
Fantastic food, staff brilliant, low price bear good too enjoyed every minute we will go there again we give The Anchor thumbs up
This looks like a small pub but it has restaurant rooms behind the bar. All tables were booked but we managed to squeeze in early as we did not plan to linger after eating. The food was excellent, one of the nicest curries I have eaten. (I can't remember the name of it.) Staff were very helpful.
